Steve McQueen, in black turtleneck and slacks, sits sipping a scotch. He answers the phone, and without saying a word, puts the receiver on the hook after a long pause. He stares at his scotch glass on the table.
FADEOUT

FADEUP to early morning dawn at the empty pit lane at Le Mans. Steve McQueen in white Tag Heuer jumpsuit slowly pushes blue/orange Porsche 917 forward towards New Driver, silhouetted back to camera. McQueen stops pushing the racecar, and walks forward with helmet under his arm. He stares intently at the New Driver, then tosses the helmet into his hands. "Take her out for a couple laps, warm her up."

Camera tilts up slowly above the car, McQueen and the New Driver, revealing a beautiful blue sky appearing through the morning fog. Cue revving engine and FADEOUT to white screen. -motionmonk
